BSHF/BSHG Series Harmonic Reducer Bearing Installation

1. Before installation

The installation site should be clean, and the surface of the bearing base and surrounding components should be cleaned before installation to see if there are any prominent burrs.

2. Installing

Then place the bearing horizontally on the port of the bearing, and use tools to slowly install the bearing. The process should be clear and slow, and the bearing should not be damaged.

3. After installation

After the installation is complete, check whether the bearing is installed in place, whether the rotation of the bearing is stuck, and whether there is any damage.

Maintenance method of BSHF/BSHG type harmonic reducer bearing

1. Bearing cleaning

(1) Before cleaning, remove the bearing of the harmonic reducer on the machine tool, and carry out maintenance

(2) Check the appearance of the bearing to confirm whether there is any lubricant residue and how much is left. We need to record this first.

(3) Secondly, take a sample of the residual lubricant and store it properly for easy inspection.

(4) We use gasoline and kerosene as cleaning agents to clean the disassembled bearings. The cleaning process includes rough cleaning and fine cleaning. When cleaning, a metal mesh pad should be placed at the bottom of the cleaning container to prevent the bearing from contacting the dirt in the container. Note that when rough cleaning the bearing, there must be no dirt in the bearing, otherwise it will damage the rolling surface of the bearing. Rough cleaning After cleaning the grease and sticky matter on the bearings, perform fine and fine cleaning. Fine cleaning is to clean the bearing while rotating in the cleaning oil. The cleaning oil used to clean the bearings should be kept clean.

2. Overhaul of bearings
The maintenance of BSHF and BSHG type harmonic reducer bearings is mainly to determine whether the bearings can continue to be used. This work should be carried out after the bearings are cleaned. At this time, we should carefully check the bearing raceway surface, rolling surface and mating surface. The situation, the degree of wear of the cage, whether the bearing clearance has increased, whether the dimensional accuracy has decreased, etc. For small bearings that cannot be separated from the equipment, we can hold the inner ring of the bearing horizontally by hand, and rotate the outer ring with the other hand to see if the bearing rotates smoothly. For large harmonic reducer bearings that cannot be inspected by hand, we should check the appearance of rolling elements, raceway surfaces, cages and other components.
